Inner outer upper atmosphere adventure dream soundtrack. Brilliant, essential. No favourite track, all favourite tracks. Dive in anywhere.. Jennifer Jupiter
No one does music quite like Camille and Xavier do. I see their music as being akin to soundtracks for unfilmed movies. In this instance it is a movie about explorers of mountainous terrain, perhaps the terrain of our lives. Merci pour cette musique si intrigante. :-) sumbuk
Great vibes here, from Broadcast (even Stereolab) to subtle touches of Carla Bley; vocals more Flora Purim than Sonja Kristina, though both are evoked. Canterbury shades regularly swim up, usually reinforcing the chill/lounge vibe, but then complex rhythms propel it to the RIO edge of the cosmos. Beautifully melodic, graceful, gauzy, expansive, cinematic... and subtly challenging. It serves well as intricate aural wallpaper (in the best possible way), but also rewards diligent attention. Encore! Dr. "Buzz" Frenzy (Matthew J Hesse)
Composed entirely by the keyboardist of Ghost Rhythms, Camille Petit, this is modern classical and chamber prog with a cinematic feel. Described as being about “infinity and finiteness,” there are choral voices at times, but the recording remains in an instrumental mode throughout. Ably performed by a whole host of musicians, the music is sometimes slightly disturbing, but always fascinating and sure to keep pulling you in. Nickie Harte Kelly
